Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy! Spring Break is here!

Hello my friends!! Being a kindergarten teacher I get the luxury of having a 10 day spring break!  It feels amazing to be drinking my hot green tea and typing this blog on a relaxing (and beautiful) Monday morning!  These past few weeks have been busy with school and creating custom orders.  They have been coming in left and right!  I am so excited that people are starting to notice Lilly Lu's more and more each and every day.  It gets me so excited and gets me going to create new hair pieces.

Within the past three weeks, I have created hair pieces for three weddings and painted signs for wedding I am in April 23rd, 2011!  And yes, I paint also!  It is actually what I used to do in my spare time before I created Lilly Lu's Collection.  What an honor though to be part of a bride's special day!! Well, enough "talking" . . .here are some pictures!

These four signs will be placed on a wooden post.
A beautiful and wonderful keepsake for after the wedding.  The groom, KC, was very excited about this one.  He told me this is a sign you will see in his house 20 years from now.  Yay! : )

Hayley and KC will have an awesome and beautiful candy table adorned with pink and green candies to match their wedding colors.  This sign will be displayed on the table.
What a cute idea!  Ribbon will be attached to these two signs and will be hung on the back of their chairs.
Ryan and I have a some friends, Trevor and Melony,  who recently had a beautiful baby girl, Skylar.  I sent her some  baby gifts and made some custom hair pieces for little Miss Skylar! I just love pink and green together!
A purple and pink elastic headband just for Skylar.
Not only is Melony a wonderful and new mother, but right after her daughter was born she became a Licensed Cosmetologist.  She is working at a cute salon called Serendipity where I get my hair done when I am in Maryland.  I thought this hair piece would be just darling for Melony.
Go Chiefs!  A wonderful teacher that I work with asked me to make her a hair piece with her son's baseball number on it.  Here is the cute hair piece!
An across the hall 1st grade teacher will be traveling to her hometown in New York for spring break.  She is another friend that is a bride to be!  She started talking about a shower that is being thrown for her while she is visiting her hometown.  I asked her what she was wearing, and I created this headband for her to wear during her shower.  She loved it!
The colors of this wedding in Murells Inlet was black and this beautiful rose petal pink. This was Lilly Lu's Collection 2nd debut in a wedding!

The black blossom had a pink flower with a translucent pink jewel in the center. I also added a light pink feather, a delicate black feather, and a zebra feather. To finish it off, I had three jewels coming out of the top also. They look beautiful on the bridesmaids!

My good friend Katee got married March 26th, 2011.  I attached the three piece hair adornment to Katee's veil. It has a beautiful diamond rose in the middle blossom, with pearls in the middle of the other two blossoms. It is also embellished with beautiful petite white feathers and strings of pearls.
A couple days before the wedding, the maid of honor asked if I could make her something special to wear during the wedding. I quickly (and beautifully) put together this hair piece in the picture. It is a brown blossom with with a Tiffany blue flower in the middle. The flower has a pearl button as the center with brown feathers fading to the Tiffany blue at the top.

More to come soon!  Happy Monday!!
